MyPrices

MyPrices is a FREE data source included to Share Trade Tracker that replaced the unreliable Yahoo Data Source in December, 2024. This data source utilises the built-in Stocks Data Type and some manual configuration to create an external file that holds the Price and Company information for all the positions in Share Trade Tracker. The Stocks Data Type will return the latest prices for each found security and then using the existing Share Trade Tracker functions for 'Update Prices' and 'Security Check' it will return the latest available information to Share Trade Tracker

This data source will NOT return Historical Prices or Dividend Details. If you require this data then you will need to subscribe to one of the paid data sources

Step 1 - Configure MyPrices, click on this button and you will be able to create a new File or Link to an existing file

Step 2 - Check MyPrices, once you have Setup NEW or Link EXISTING you need to Check that the Data Source is ready for use. Click Check MyPrices and if it is successfully found you will be able to store those details and the data source is ready for use

Step 3 - Store MyPrices, if the test is successful then click on the 'Store MyPrices' button to save the configuration into the settings for Share Tracker. This file will then be used each time that you 'Update Prices'.
